Rev. Dominic Nguyen

Greetings to you and your family,

I am Fr. Dominic Nguyen, and I am looking forward to meeting with you and serving you.

I was born and raised in Vietnam. In 2014, I got the opportunity to come to the U.S. to pursue a College education with the support of my uncle’s family in Davenport. It was there that I began discerning a call to the priesthood. In 2016, I transferred from Scott Community College in Bettendorf to Conception Seminary College in Conception, MO, and I earned a Bachelor’s in Philosophy from there. In 2023, I finished my seminary formation at Mundelein Seminary, north of Chicago.

The more I was in the formation process, the more I felt God’s call and mission for
me as a priest. The frequent reception of Holy Communion and the sacrament of penance was tremendously instrumental in my discernment process. He increased my desire to be a priest as I slowly opened my heart to Him. My priesthood is not possible without God’s grace and the support from my family and friends, both near and far.
